Dive the Philippines — From Your Private Villa

The Coral Triangle. WWII wrecks. Whale sharks. Sardine tornadoes. All arranged before you arrive.

The Philippines sits at the heart of the Coral Triangle — the most biodiverse marine region on Earth — with over 20,000 species of marine life across 22,000 square kilometres of coral reef. Each of our five islands offers world-class diving within 30 minutes of your villa. Our concierge pre-arranges all dive logistics: equipment, guides, boats, and briefings. All you need to do is descend.

By Island

Where to Experience This

Palawan — Coron WWII Wrecks

Coron's WWII Japanese wrecks are among the world's top 10 dive sites. The Irako (170m), Akitsushima (164m), and Kogyo Maru lie in 20–45 metres, fully encrusted with coral and teeming with fish. Penetration dives are available for advanced divers, while the shallower wrecks are accessible to Open Water certified guests.

Irako wreck — 170m aircraft transport ship
Akitsushima — seaplane tender with crane arm
Morazan Maru and Olympia Maru shallow dives
Kayangan Lake freshwater dive (unique)
Barracuda Lake thermocline experience

Concierge tip: Book the Coron wreck dives for early morning (7am) before tour boats — visibility and solitude are dramatically better than afternoon dives.

Cebu — Sardine Tornado & Whale Sharks

Moalboal's sardine run is one of the most extraordinary marine encounters on Earth — a million-strong baitball rotating in formation directly off Panagsama Beach, visible from 5 metres depth. Whale shark interactions at Tumalog Point (open ocean, not Oslob) allow swimming alongside gentle giants in their natural environment.

Sardine tornado — visible from the surface
Sea turtles at Moalboal reef (5–10m)
Thresher sharks at Malapascua (dawn dive)
Whale sharks — open ocean encounter
Pescador Island wall dive and cave

Concierge tip: Malapascua thresher shark dives require a dawn boat (5:30am) from the island — our concierge arranges overnight on Malapascua for guests who want this experience.

Bohol — Balicasag Island

Balicasag Island, a marine sanctuary 30 minutes from Panglao, has some of the healthiest wall diving in the Philippines. Vertical coral walls drop to 40+ metres, with resident sea turtles feeding in the shallows, jack schools in the blue water, and white-tip reef sharks on the deeper sections.

Balicasag wall dive — 40m vertical drop
Sea turtle feeding in shallow reef
Jack school in pelagic water
White-tip reef sharks at Cathedral Rock
Alona Reef house reef from the beach

Concierge tip: Alona Beach's house reef is accessible without a boat — one of the few Philippines dive sites where you can roll off the beach and find world-class reef within 5 minutes.

Siargao — Reefs & Sugba

Siargao's diving is less developed than Palawan or Cebu — which means fewer boats, healthier reefs, and a genuinely exploratory experience. Local dive guides know spots that are not in any guidebook. Sugba Lagoon's underwater topography is unusual and beautiful, and the surrounding offshore reefs are in excellent condition.

Offshore reef wall dives — fewer divers
Sugba Lagoon underwater exploration
Manta ray cleaning stations (seasonal)
Rock formations — dramatic underwater topography
Night diving on local reefs

Concierge tip: Siargao diving is best treated as an adventure — less documented, less crowded, and genuinely exploratory. Our local dive guides know spots that aren't listed anywhere online.
