Golden Hour on Private Waters

Golden Hour on Private Waters

Handcrafted cocktails, fresh seafood boards, and the Philippine sunset — exclusively yours.

The Philippine sunset is extraordinary wherever you are — but experiencing it from the water, aboard a private vessel with no tour group around you, is something else entirely. Each island offers a different sunset tradition: the traditional paraw outrigger of Boracay, the speedboat champagne cruise of Palawan's Bacuit Bay, the cliff-view lagoon sunset in Siargao. Our concierge arranges the right boat for the right sunset on your specific island.

Where to Experience This

Boracay

Boracay's traditional paraw sailboat — a double-outrigger wooden sailing vessel unique to the island — is the most iconic sunset experience in the Philippines. Departing from the beach at Station 1, the paraw sails the length of White Beach at golden hour with the sun setting behind it. Champagne service and a fresh seafood board included.

Station 1 to Station 3 full sail length
Champagne and canapés on board
Optional bonfire beach finish

Concierge tip: Request a private paraw with just your group (max 8 guests) — our concierge ensures no other guests are added to your sail.

Palawan

El Nido's Bacuit Bay at sunset — with 300-metre limestone formations silhouetted against orange and pink skies — is arguably the most dramatic sunset backdrop in Asia. A private speedboat takes you out into the bay to watch the karst towers turn gold, then deeper orange, then rust-red as the sun descends. Anchoring in a quiet cove for dinner is optional.

Phosphorescent bay night option (seasonal)

Concierge tip: The phosphorescent bay near El Nido is best experienced as a sunset cruise extension — paddle into the glowing water after dark. Our concierge arranges the timing.

Siargao

Siargao's sunset is experienced differently — the island's west-facing Sugba Lagoon and the mangrove channels catch the light in extraordinary ways. A private bangka through the mangroves at golden hour is a uniquely Siargao experience. For open-water sunset enthusiasts, the offshore reef sunset from a private speedboat with Cloud 9 in the background is unmissable.

Concierge tip: Combine the Sugba Lagoon visit with the sunset return journey — arrive mid-afternoon, paddleboard in the lagoon, and boat back through the mangroves at golden hour.

Cebu & Bohol

Mactan Island's calm Visayan Sea is perfect for sunset catamaran sailing — multi-hull vessels are stable and spacious, making them ideal for larger groups. Bohol's Panglao sunset cruise takes you out past Balicasag Island with the Chocolate Hills visible on the mainland horizon as the sky turns orange.

Premium open bar throughout
Post-sunset stargazing away from light pollution

Concierge tip: Bohol's sunsets are less famous than Boracay's but often more dramatic — the Chocolate Hills on the horizon add a surreal element that guests consistently photograph.
