Diniwid Beach, Puka Shell Beach — the Boracay that tourists don't find
About North Coast
Beyond the northern end of White Beach, the landscape changes entirely. Diniwid Beach — a small, intimate cove tucked between rocky headlands — is where Boracay's most private villas hide. The sand is narrower than White Beach but the seclusion is total: a handful of properties, almost no day visitors, and an atmosphere closer to a deserted island than a tourist destination. Beyond Diniwid, Puka Shell Beach stretches for nearly two kilometres with almost no development — named for the small puka shells that wash up at the tideline. These two beaches together are the Boracay that most visitors never discover, and the zone where the island's most genuinely private villa experiences are found.
What Awaits
A small, rocky-headland beach north of White Beach's Station 1. Accessible by a 5-minute path from White Beach or by private bangka. Almost no day visitors, no vendors, no beach bars. The handful of villas here are the most genuinely private on the island.
Nearly 2km of white sand on the island's north tip, backed by tropical vegetation and facing the open Visayan Sea. Almost no permanent structures. The best beach on Boracay for guests who want empty space, natural beauty, and zero tourism infrastructure.
The north coast is 15–20 minutes from White Beach Station 1 by road, or 10 minutes by private bangka. Guests have the best of both worlds: total north coast seclusion at their villa, quick access to White Beach restaurants and experiences when desired.
The entire north coast has only a handful of genuine private villa properties. This extreme scarcity is the primary reason north coast villas deliver such genuine exclusivity — there are simply no neighbours to worry about.
The headlands between Diniwid and Puka offer some of Boracay's most dramatic coastal scenery — completely inaccessible from the White Beach side. Morning hikes from north coast villas reach cliff viewpoints that no organized tour visits.
Guests who want excellent food and White Beach access without the Station 2 evening noise choose the north coast deliberately. The contrast between north coast villa silence at night and White Beach's bar scene is extreme — both are available on the same island.
